Rev. Ronald "Red" Thoune came to me from the spirit side of life when I was more "need conscious" than "God conscious". He said to me very forcefully, "When you have a need, plant a seed and pray." This brought the needed correction to my heart and mind which brought a miracle that supplied the need.
Oral Roberts pioneered the principles of SEED FAITH and those basic principles are:
1: God is always your source.
2: Plant a seed out of your need. If you need time -- give of your time as a seed. If you need friendship you become friendly as a seed. If you need money you plant money as a seed. If you need love you give love as a seed... and so on. You may ask how much should I plant – it is always the best seed you can in order to expect God's best back. The planting of the seed out of your need gives your faith something to lay a hold of and to wrap itself around.
3: Then EXPECT A HARVEST from your planted seed. EXPECT YOUR MIRACLE!
You will find the basic principles will work for anyone.
Red's message is not just for me but for anyone who has a need. Just remember his words, "When you have a need, plant a seed and pray." Then EXPECT aMIRACLE.
Love and light,
Rev. Rick Root
